We did some miles this day, the preparation took place at Stanley house and the wedding service took place at the beautiful St Leonards in Blackburn, we then had a hour and a half drive to the amazing Knowsley Hall, in Merseyside. It was a stunning day, with a lovely couple, who did everything you could imagine to entertain their guests.

Alaine & Karl – Highlights

This was a very special wedding and one we were looking forward to. Alaine & Karl were the winners of the Dune FM & The Wedding Rooms contest in 2009, where the prize was to win a wedding. After meeting Alaine & Karl we can see why they won a contest based on a public vote.

The day was perfect, the service took place in a beautiful church in Southport and the reception was at the The Royal Clifton.

We would also like to mention the entertainer they had on known as “Tony Macaroni”. A really good wedding video DJ, who has all the latest music videos and will also project images up from the day from any phone or memory card.

Hello and happy new year. Welcome to the new amberfilm website, the web team have been working really hard for the last 4 months making what we believe to be the best and most intuitive our site can be. Not only have we had a major facelift with a new logo, we have come up with some really cool features to put us ahead of the competition.

New Features

Customer Login: Our new AmberTrack service allows you to login and see how your video is progressing. You can also see preview clips, and once your film is finished you can even share highlight clips with far away family or friends, who can leave comments.
Video testimonials: We are so pleased to have this feature, and our customers are only to happy be a part of this. As much as a nice letter from a couple is great, we love meeting up with couples who are happy to talk about there experience with AmberFilm. This is optional, so dont worry, you won’t be expected to make one!
Follow Amber: The world went twitter mad in 2009, so now you can follow us and see what we are up, and we often will have useful tips or links to suppliers, venues and services.

Mitton Hall

We would like to tell you about a stunning venue that we had the pleasure in visiting recently to organise a future wedding video. Set in its own grounds just outside the prosperous village of Whalley in the Ribble valley, Mitton Hall presents an imposing picture. Based on a Tudor mansion built in the fifteenth century and suitably modernized for its current use, the Hall has much to commend it.

Parking is easy within the large grounds and one enters the building to find many Tudor features like flagged stone floors and beamed interiors. These have been enhanced with the addition of a tasteful conservatory area and the use of comfortable lounge furniture in several areas. Clearly a lot of effort has gone into creating the right atmosphere of a quality country house – and to good effect.

Make sure you keep checking back to see a video clip once we have filmed the wedding.

Southport convention centre wedding show

We will be at another wedding show on Sunday 1st March 12.00 – 4.00 pm

This is a great local show, and you are guaranteed to pick up some excellent deals and bargains. We will be showing of our new show reel, featuring lots of happy couples on there big day. It is a very busy show so make sure you are early as we would really like to meet as many of you as possible.

The newly extended Southport Theatre & Convention Centre is Merseyside’s most flexible Conference, Banqueting and Entertainment multi-purpose venue.
Located on the North West coast just north of Liverpool the venue comprises of a large theatre auditorium, exhibition centre, beautiful ballroom and variety of smaller conference suites.

Hello, again it has been a very busy few weeks for us at amberfilm. We are currently editing a number of recent weddings, as well as attending wedding fairs. We would like to say a big thank you to everyone we spoke to at Knowsley Hall, a truly stunning venue, and we look forward to seeing any of you who booked with us.

We have just set up a facebook page. The whole world seems to be on facebook, so we felt it was time we joined in as well. We hope this will be a good tool for couples who have met us at wedding fairs to keep in touch, and for satisfied customers to leave a nice review of their film.

Keeping busy & Colour correction

Amber film have had a really busy month, from wedding fairs to weddings, to arranging a amazing competition (full details will be posted soon) One aspect of our film making is the use of colour correction. Take a look at a still from a recent wedding we filmed, as you can see it wasn’t the best of days (weather wise).
