Enter the New Year and you see so many fashions and trends popping up, irrespective of whether they are being carried over
from the past years or are spanking new. What we mean here by trend is the direction in which fashion seems to move. And with so many events happening around the world in the social arena, celebrity weddings, fashion in the Internet, not to mention some of those glossy magazines, a young bride would certainly prefer to keep up with the trends of the season and match the current styles.
Wedding trends for 2012 seems to take to the more vibrant colors, though of course, there are brides who choose the subtler shades. One of the important colors of 2012 seems to be tangerine, but brides, believe that the season will always determine the color of your wedding dress. Though the white wedding dress is still an all-time favorite, splashes of color on the sashes, handbags, belts and shoes are getting to be seen more and more.
With the start of 2012, wedding gowns were displayed in New York, and tulle seems to be leading the way. Practically, all dresses for the bride featured tulle with the characteristic tulle ball gowns and tulle full skirts that are being exhibited in a lot of ways. If not tulle the bride can always select organza or chiffon that is also extremely popular. Lace wedding gowns are another of the hot trends in 2012. Marchesa’s fantastic gown with lace bodice and sleeves is a runaway hit. It features a sweetheart neckline below the beautiful lace with a cummerbund at the waist.
A classic gown with beaded casing that was once in fashion is back with a bang, and a bride would look simply marvelous in a flowing gown with bead-work and embroidery. Why not make up the rest of this wedding dress by wearing matching crystal chandelier bridal jewels. This year’s wedding gowns sport a wide range of necklines that a bride would enjoy making her selection from, and match it up with a shiny, wide bracelet, made from Swarovski crystals that will become an instant hit. Gold accessories like brooches, necklaces and the like are in style this year.
The white wedding shoes that you generally see brides gliding up to the altar in, have been replaced with colored ones with crystal trimmings and dazzling butterflies. Hey, and not to forget wedding bags that are one of the accessories which have been stealing the show in the bridal market. The bejeweled clutch purses in scintillating shades created by Judith Leiber are small but exciting all the same.
Loose, simple and easy-going hairstyles are the order of the year, with waves of loose locks, pinned low on to the head, either to the center or the side. Top it off with hair accessories like a gardenia or a brooch featuring feathers or even a birdcage veil that is today’s trend. Finish your dressing with the trendy red lipstick and you are ready to be wed!
